The overall goal of the programme is to produce a well-trained and qualified medical laboratory scientist to help improve healthcare delivery in Ghana.

i. Train students to perform laboratory diagnostic tests with a high level of reliability ii. Equip students with the highest standards of professional ethics in the practice of medical laboratory science. iii. Provide students with knowledge of total quality management skills iv. Develop skills that will ensure proper supervision of subordinate staff and effective communication with colleagues, patients, and the general public. v. Guide students develop professional attitude to work accurately with minimal supervision
