To equip students with knowledge and skills in sports science.

Programme Objectives

Objective(s)

Students who complete the BSc Sports Science Program should be able to: • Demonstrate understanding of the functional anatomy and biomechanics of the human body. • Understand the physiological basis for exercise and physical activity in direct application to physical fitness and athletic conditioning. • Exhibit the ability to conduct fitness testing as well as design, prescribe and administer fitness programs. • Demonstrate an understanding of the role that nutrition, diet and exercise play in weight control and body composition. • Use the knowledge acquired to pursue further studies in the field of sports, exercise and health science.

Entry Requirements

Three elective subjects under the following options:

  • Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Elective Mathematics,
  • Business: Economics, Accounting, Costing, and Management
  • Arts: Geography, Economics, Elective Mathematics

Graduation Requirements

  1. Course Requirements: A candidate for the BCom (Accounting) degree must pass all courses taken, meet Inter-Faculty course requirements.
  2. Credit Requirements: A candidate must accumulate a minimum of 140 credits (including Advance Credits).
  3. Additional Requirements: The candidate must attain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 1.0. In addition, the candidate must have settled financial and other obligations to the university.
