Aim(s)
The aim of the programme is to produce Social Studies graduates who can apply the integrated approach to the teaching and assessment of Social Studies at the Basic and SHS levels of education.
The aim of the programme is to produce Social Studies graduates who can apply the integrated approach to the teaching and assessment of Social Studies at the Basic and SHS levels of education.
The objectives of the programme are to:
a. equip students with knowledge in teaching and assessing Social Studies in an integrated manner
b. develop students’ skills in teaching and assessing Social Studies in an integrated manner
c. develop students’ positive attitudes and values towards themselves and the environment.
d. train students in the skills in conducting basic and action research in Social Studies.

Applicants must have passes in Core English, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Sciences (Grade D or better for SSSCE candidates and Grade C6 or better for WASSCE candidates).
Additionally, applicants must have three elective subjects relevant to the proposed programme of study.
Holders of professional certificates and tertiary-level diplomas may be admitted at Levels 200 or 300, subject to assessment of the qualification.
