Aim(s)

To produce competent and innovative teachers equipped with a strong foundation in accounting and ICT principles, along with effective pedagogical skills for championing enhanced educational outcomes and quality accounting and ICT education.

Programme Objectives

Objective(s)

  1. Equip students with a comprehensive understanding of accounting and ICT concepts, theories, and practices, enabling them to effectively convey complex subject matter to diverse student populations in a manner that promotes deep learning and critical thinking.

  2. Develop students' pedagogical skills through practical training and technology integration, enabling them to design and implement engaging instructional strategies that foster active learning, assessment, and continuous improvement in student performance in both accounting and ICT.

  3. Develop a strong sense of professional ethics and responsibility, emphasizing the importance of integrity, equity, and social responsibility in their teaching practices, to serve as role models and advocates for ethical conduct in the educational environment and the broader community.

Graduation Requirements

  1. Course Requirements: A candidate for the BCom (Accounting) degree must pass all courses taken, meet Inter-Faculty course requirements.
  2. Credit Requirements: A candidate must accumulate a minimum of 140 credits (including Advance Credits).
  3. Additional Requirements: The candidate must attain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 1.0. In addition, the candidate must have settled financial and other obligations to the university.
