The aim of the programme is to produce practical and sustainability-oriented applied technology graduates to teach and work in the building construction and woodwork industries.

Objective(s)

By the end of the programme, the student should be equipped with:

  1. Pedagogical knowledge and skills to become applied technology teachers at the pre-tertiary level.
  2. Content knowledge, scientific and technology principles underlying the design, construction, and maintenance of building and wood structures/products.
  3. The relevant standards and practical skills for undertaking building construction, and woodwork works in the industry.
  4. The capacity to establish and manage their entrepreneurial businesses.
  5. Profession ethics

Graduation Requirements

  1. Course Requirements: A candidate for the BCom (Accounting) degree must pass all courses taken, meet Inter-Faculty course requirements.
  2. Credit Requirements: A candidate must accumulate a minimum of 140 credits (including Advance Credits).
  3. Additional Requirements: The candidate must attain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 1.0. In addition, the candidate must have settled financial and other obligations to the university.
