Aim(s)

The programme aims to produce Visual Art graduate teachers who will possess broad-base theoretical knowledge and practical skills in different specialised areas in Visual Arts and contemporary pedagogical and entrepreneurship skills that will enable them to effectively teach Visual Arts at Senior and High School levels and operate their businesses.

a. High-calibre Visual Art educators with knowledge and skills in content and pedagogy can make them efficient Art and Design teachers at the pre-tertiary level. b. Visual Art teachers who are abreast with current trends of Art and Design training and practice. c. Creative, resourceful and dynamic Art and Design teachers who can inspire and nurture the creative abilities of students. d. Visual Art teachers who are equipped with entrepreneurial and managerial knowledge and skills that can be used to set up viable Art and Design businesses and manage them effectively.

Graduation Requirements

  1. Course Requirements: A candidate for the BCom (Accounting) degree must pass all courses taken, meet Inter-Faculty course requirements.
  2. Credit Requirements: A candidate must accumulate a minimum of 140 credits (including Advance Credits).
  3. Additional Requirements: The candidate must attain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 1.0. In addition, the candidate must have settled financial and other obligations to the university.
